A focus group was conducted to explore participants’ awareness of how it feels to have dementia by viewing the 360-degree video, empathy towards people with dementia, and knowledge of dementia.Results: The 360-degree video is an arts-based knowledge-translation strategy that was used to raise nursing students’ awareness on behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. Mixed methods were used to obtain insight into the effects of the module. Significant relationship were found between the profile of the respondents and their assessments of the learning gains. These themes reflect the usefulness of 360-degree video as an arts-based knowledge translation strategy in raising dementia awareness in nursing students. This paper describes the experience of a school of nursing and health professions and a community non-profit organization in developing a community faculty practice partnership allowing for CNL, nurse practitioner, and Doctorate of Psychology students to be placed at a community clinic serving high-risk patients. A short period of time to complete the module in combination with a good guidance from the organization were considered important factors. Results: Findings indicated that male nursing staff (accounting for 15.4% of the applicable occupational injury and illness incidents) reported a larger percentage of “Assaults” and “Lifting (Patient Care)” incidents, especially during the evening and the night shifts, whereas female nursing staff (accounting for 84.6% of the applicable incidents) reported a larger percentage of “Slips, Trips, and Falls” incidents, but these were more likely to occur during the beginning and the end of each shift.
